First you will want to look back at your assignment to see what type of sources you need.  If you need scholarly articles I would try using Academic Search Complete.  You can get a link to this database from our page http://libguides.starkstate.edu/library  then down the center column click on General.  On the left side of the page you will see both on or off campus links to databases.  When you are in Academic Search Complete you can limit your search (halfway down the page) to scholarly (peer reviewed) and full text.  If you off campus you will need to click Advanced Search under the search box to see these options.  Once you have that set up then you can try typing in keywords like stand your ground law or self defense law.  This should bring up some articles to look at. 

Another database you can use that isn't going to really find scholarly but it will find articles is called Opposing Viewpoints.  You will also see it linked under the General Research Guide.  It might be another one to check out.
