You will want to begin at our library resources page http://libguides.starkstate.edu/library from there look under Research Guides by Subject. Click on English and on the left side of the guide use the link to the database Academic Search Complete. Be sure to use the link appropriately for on or off campus. Once in the database you can Limit Your Results to full text (ebsco full text if off campus) and Scholarly (peer reviewed) articles. I did a search with exotic animals in the first box and pet in the box below it. I found a few that I think would work. Let me know if that's not what you are looking for.
